Terms of Service

1. About NamSeva

NamSeva ("we", "us", "our") is a marketplace platform that connects individuals seeking household and domestic services ("Seekers") with independent service providers ("Sevakars"). NamSeva is operated by an individual developer and is currently in early-access / beta stage.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the NamSeva mobile application, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

3. Eligibility

• You must be at least 18 years of age to use NamSeva.
• You must provide a valid Indian mobile number for OTP authentication.
• Sevakars must provide accurate identity information during profile verification.

4. NamSeva is a Marketplace, Not an Employer

NamSeva facilitates connections between Seekers and Sevakars. We do not:

• Employ, supervise, or control Sevakars in any way.
• Guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of services offered.
• Conduct police verification or background checks (this may be added in future).

Seekers engage Sevakars entirely at their own discretion and risk. NamSeva recommends meeting in public first and exercising due caution.

5. Connects, Featured Listings and Payments

• Connects are pre-purchased contact unlocks sold in fixed packs through Google Play. 1 Connect = 1 contact request to a Sevakar. Connects are a digital service, not a wallet, prepaid instrument, or cash equivalent.
• A Connect is consumed when a Seeker sends a contact request and is non-refundable once consumed, irrespective of whether the Sevakar accepts or responds.
• Unused Connects do not expire and are non-transferable between user accounts.
• Featured Listings purchased by Sevakars are activated immediately and are non-refundable after activation.
• We reserve the right to adjust pricing for Connects and Featured Listings at any time with prior notice.
• Refund eligibility, exceptions, and the process for raising disputes are described in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

6. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Upload false, misleading, or inappropriate profile photos or information.
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users via the chat feature.
• Attempt to circumvent the Connects system or make fraudulent payments.
• Use the platform for any illegal purpose.

7. Profile Verification

Sevakars may voluntarily submit a selfie and address proof for identity verification. Verification badges are awarded at our sole discretion. Verification does not constitute a background check or endorsement.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account that violates these Terms, engages in fraudulent activity, or causes harm to other users, without prior notice.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, NamSeva shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, including but not limited to incidents involving Sevakars and Seekers.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Tamil Nadu, India.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
