Delete My Account

Effective: April 2026

You have the right to request deletion of your NamSeva account and associated personal data at any time. Please follow the steps below.

How to Request Account Deletion

  1. Send us an email
    Email support@namseva.in with the subject line: "Account Deletion Request".
  2. Include your registered mobile number
    We use your phone number to identify your account (e.g., +91 98765 XXXXX). We will send an OTP to verify ownership before processing.
  3. Wait for confirmation
    We will process your request within 7 business days and send a confirmation email once deletion is complete.
If you registered as a Sevakar (service provider), your public profile listing will also be permanently removed from search results.

What Gets Deleted vs. Retained

Name and mobile number Deleted No longer needed after account closure
Profile photo Deleted Removed from Firebase Storage
Sevakar profile (services, bio, locality) Deleted Removed from all search results
Portfolio photos Deleted Removed from Firebase Storage
Identity / address proof photos Deleted Removed within 30 days of request
Chat messages Deleted Removed from all chat threads involving you
FCM / push notification token Deleted Unregistered immediately
Payment transaction records Retained 5 years Required under Indian financial regulations
Anonymised usage/analytics data Retained (anonymised) Cannot be linked back to you after deletion

In-App Deletion (Coming Soon)

We are working on an in-app self-service account deletion option. Until it is available, please use the email process above. The in-app option will delete all the same categories of data listed above.
